Over twenty years ago, Gary and Cheryl Kuney answered God’s call to bring hope and transformation to Honduras. With a passion to help young men and women break free from the cycles of poverty, crime, and broken homes, they founded Gathering Hearts for Honduras. What began with one faithful couple and a vision from God has grown into a thriving ministry that continues to make His name great among the people of Honduras.
The journey started in San Pedro Sula, where Gary and Cheryl witnessed the overwhelming need for spiritual and physical support. However, their hearts were drawn to the communities living along the highway connecting San Pedro Sula and Puerto Cortes, a coastal city with significant economic and logistical importance. These villages, often overlooked, are home to some of the greatest spiritual and physical challenges in the region. With compassion as their guide, Gary and Cheryl moved their focus to these underserved areas.
